3歳よりピアノを始め、13歳より打楽器を、20歳よりマリンバを演奏。
桐朋学園大学音楽学部打楽器科を首席で卒業し読売新人演奏会にて演奏後、ベルギー政府特別奨学金の資格を得て留学。ベルギーにてブリュッセル、アントワープ両王立音楽院、各打楽器科を首席で卒業。フランス・パリ市立音楽院のソロスペシャリゼーションコースを優秀な成績で修了。

卒業後6年間、欧州でクラシック打楽器奏者、マリンバ奏者としてフリーランスで活動を続け、ベルギー放送交響楽団等、オーケストラと協奏曲をソリストとして共演する他、多数の国際コンクールにて優秀な成績を収める。
「テヌート2000音楽コンクール（ベルギー）」にて最高位、ベルギー著作権協会賞も重ねて受賞。「トロンプ2000国際音楽コンクール（オランダ）」にて第3位を獲得。「第３回世界マリンバコンクール（ドイツ）」にて第２位を受賞。この他にも数々のコンクールに入賞。

2003年にヨーロッパでの活動に区切りをつけ帰国。ヤマハと世界に１台のMIDIマリンバ「EMP」を開発し世界初のEMP奏者としてさらなる独自の音楽表現手段を獲得し、FUJI ROCKフェスティバル’03に出演するなど注目を集める中、アルバム「INFINITY」でメジャーデビュー。現在までにソニー・ミュージック・ジャパン・インターナショナルより5枚のアルバム、自身のレーベルより9枚、キングレコードより1枚のアルバムをリリースしている。

近年ソロ活動と平行して尺八演奏家「藤原道山」や女性マリンバ奏者「三村奈々恵」とのデュオ活動にも精力的に取り組み、尺八とマリンバによる世界最小オーケストラ「藤原道山×SINSKE」としてこれまでアルバムを13枚リリース。2021年に活動開始10周年を迎え、記念CD「十年十色」を携え、全国11都市13公演を開催。
またデビュー10周年となる2013年には日本舞踊協会新作公演「創国紀」（2013年、国立劇場）の音楽・演奏を手掛けるなど、多数の舞台音楽が好評を博している。

これまでに欧米世界13ヶ国で演奏を行い、キューバ、ベルギー等から集まった打楽器奏者達とのアフリカ遠征&レコーディングや、2016年には「藤原道山×SINSKE」でベルギー、フランス、ルクセンブルクにてツアー、2018年マレーシア、2019年イタリア、2022年メキシコ、2024年スペインで公演を行うなど海外での活動にも精力的に取り組んでいる。

後進の指導にもあたり、楽器未経験者を対象とした誰にでも手軽にマリンバの楽しさや演奏が体験、実感、出来るマリンバのワークショップやアメリカ、シカゴにて行われた「Zeltsman marimba Festival」にて招待演奏及びマスタークラスの講師を務めるなど活動は多岐に渡る。

またテレビ朝日系列 「題名のない音楽会」「関ジャム 完全燃SHOW」、Eテレ「ムジカピッコリーノ」等のテレビ番組を始め新聞、ラジオ、雑誌など各メディアにもたびたび取り上げられており、2016年4月よりSONYのスマートフォン／タブレット「Xperia」の魅力をリアルユーザーが語る「Xperia FILE」、同年11月よりWEB CMに出演。2017年4月より2018年3月までインターネットラジオ「OTTAVA」にて初のパーソナリティを務めた。

2019年5月よりオンエアされたJR東海【TVCM】「そうだ 京都、行こう。」苔と新緑編の演奏に参加、同年7月にはウクレレ奏者「近藤利樹」とコラボレーションした楽曲「SUNNY SIDE」がMBS「お天気部テーマ曲」の夏のテーマ曲に決定致、MBSの人気番組「ちちんぷいぷい（月～金　午後１時５５分）」他にてオンエアされる。

2023年、CDデビュー20周年を迎え紀尾井ホールでの記念コンサートを開催しCDをリリース。

He started playing piano at the age of 3, drums at 13, and marimba at 20.
After graduating top of his class in the percussion department of Toho Gakuen School of Music and performing in the Yomiuri Newcomer's Concert, he received a special scholarship from the Belgian government to study abroad. She graduated first in her class from the percussion departments of the Royal Conservatories of Brussels and Antwerp, Belgium, and received a special scholarship from the Belgian government to study abroad. He completed the solo specialization course at the Conservatoire de Paris, France, with distinction.

For six years after graduation, he freelanced as a classical percussionist and marimba player in Europe, performing concerts as a soloist with orchestras such as the Belgian Radio Symphony Orchestra and achieving excellent results in numerous international competitions.
He won the highest prize in the "Tenuto 2000 Music Competition (Belgium)" as well as the prize of the Belgian Copyright Society. He won the third prize at the Tromp 2000 International Music Competition in the Netherlands. Second prize in the "3rd World Marimba Competition" in Germany. He has also won prizes in many other competitions.

He returned to Japan in 2003 after a hiatus in Europe. He developed the world's first MIDI Marimba "EMP" with Yamaha and became the world's first EMP player to acquire his own unique means of musical expression, and made his major debut with the album "INFINITY" while attracting attention as a performer at the FUJI ROCK Festival '03. He has released 5 albums on Sony Music Japan International, 9 albums on his own label and 1 album on King Record.

In recent years, in addition to his solo activities, he has been actively involved in duo activities with shakuhachi player "Fujiwara Dozan" and marimba player "Nanae Mimura", and has released 13 albums.In 2021, the group will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a commemorative CD "JUNIEN JIKKI" and 13 performances in 11 cities across Japan.
In 2013, the 10th anniversary of his debut, he performed and composed music for "Soukoku Ki" (2013, National Theatre of Japan), a new performance by the Nihon Buyo Kyokai, and his stage music was well received.

He has performed in 13 countries in the U.S. and Europe, including an expedition to Africa and recording with percussionists from Cuba, Belgium, and other countries, a tour of Belgium, France, and Luxembourg in 2016 with "Fujiwara Dozan x SINSKE," and performances in Malaysia in 2018, Italy in 2019, and Mexico in 2022.He is also active in overseas activities, performing in Malaysia in 2018, Italy in 2019, Mexico in 2019, and Spain in 2024.

He is also active in teaching younger students, giving marimba workshops for inexperienced players to experience and feel the joy of playing the marimba, and teaching master classes and invited performances at the Zeltsman Marimba Festival in Chicago, USA. He has also been invited to perform at the Zeltsman Marimba Festival in Chicago, USA.

He has also been frequently featured in TV programs such as "Ongaku no Nai Ongakukai" (TV Asahi), "Sekijam: The Complete Burning Show" and "Musica Piccolino" on e-television, as well as in newspapers, radio, magazines, and other media. He appeared in "Xperia FILE," in which real users talk about the appeal of SONY's "Xperia" smartphone/tablet, in April 2016, and in a web commercial in November of the same year.

JR Tokai [TV commercial] "Yes, let's go to Kyoto" on air from May 2019. In July of the same year, "SUNNY SIDE," a collaboration with ukulele player Toshiki Kondo, was selected as the summer theme song for the MBS "Weather Department Theme Song," and will be broadcast on the popular MBS program "Chichin Puipui (Monday through Friday, 1:55 PM)" and other programs.

In 2023, the 20th anniversary of his CD debut, he will give a commemorative concert at Kioi Hall and release a CD.
He studied marimba with Keiko Abe, Toshihiro Akamatsu, Eric Sammut, Bart Quartier and Emmanuel Segourne. (Honorifics omitted)
